Scientology Volunteer Ministers Present the Yellow Tent in Milan
MILAN — 22 January 2026 — The Scientology Volunteer Ministers have brought their distinctive yellow tent to Milan, offering a visible meeting point for practical help and listening support, alongside everyday “Tools for Life” that can be applied to real-life difficulties. More details are available here: Scientology Europe report.
Previously deployed in cities including New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome and Naples, the Yellow Tent Church is designed to let residents speak with trained volunteers and learn straightforward methods for handling stress, improving communication and resolving conflicts, as well as practical help during difficult moments.
Volunteer Ministers are local citizens trained through 19 introductory courses covering communication, study and learning methods, interpersonal relations and problem-solving. The approach is personal and practical: understand what the person faces and provide an actionable technique.
In Italy, Volunteer Ministers have supported communities during major emergencies including L’Aquila (2009) and Emilia-Romagna (2012), and have also assisted during flooding in the Marche region (2022) and Romagna (2023), working alongside local institutions and civil protection actors to help remove mud and debris and restore access.
In Milan, activity expanded during the pandemic period with sanitisation efforts and support for families in need. Organisers say volunteers then continued with community care work, including more than 160 consecutive Saturdays of clean-up and assistance, extending across all nine municipalities of the city, while also contributing to solidarity efforts such as supporting aid shipments to Ukraine.
Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, said: “Across Europe, communities grow stronger when citizens are equipped to help each other in practical ways—calmly, respectfully and without prejudice. Their work reflects a civic principle: support starts with listening and providing tools that help people regain the ability to act and contribute.”
